About

I decided to start this site in December of 2009. I was spending a lot of time on Craigslist looking for my lost cat, Suki. Someone posted a mean spirited and untrue story about the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley. I placed an post where I explained why the person’s story was BS. I was flagged, either by the person who posted the original story or by Craigslist “police” because it was a post about a post.

It angered me that I was unable to refute a story that was untrue and causing problems for the humane society. It makes no sense to me that someone can post something hurtful and untrue, yet no on is allowed to say anything about it.

However, before I was flagged a bunch of people read my post and sent me emails thanking me for sticking up for the agency.

In discussions with some of these people I learned that many of us would prefer a place where we could still read ads for pets, services, etc but be able to converse about them. Comment on these “posts”. So I had the idea to create a forum. An online community where people can post all the same things they would on Craigslist yet the rest of us can comment on it, have a discussion about it, that we can all read.

Then my imagination kind of took off from there. I decided (at 3am one morning) that it could be so much more than a forum. I could add a blog that readers could contribute to, I could offer live chats with Trainers and Veterinarians, feature certain shelters and pets, and probably so much more.

so here we are.

Who am I?
I am Amy. I live in Uptown Minneapolis MN. I have dogs and cats of my own (the pets you see in the banner are all mine. They’re not all still with us, but they’re all my babies.). I am married and my husband Greg is also an animal lover and advocate.

Hello Amy, I’m hoping you can help publicize the 2012 Animal Charity Grant. As the author of a book about a Minnesota Veterinary Clinic, I’m grateful for your work on behalf of animals up there.

If the link doesn’t work just go to veterinarycreative.com and it’s the 2012 Animal Charity Grant page. Thanks!
